Deals & Discounts |
Portland Open Studios is always looking for ways to serve our artists and towards that goal, we have worked out special discounts for Portland Open Studios artists with the following services: PhotographyDale Leix of Today's Photo has been recommended by several Portland Open Studios artists who have used his Artwork Portfolio Services. He photographs both 2D and 3D work and offers reasonable rates based on size and number of pieces. In addition, he's offering 2009 Portland Open Studios artists a 15% discount (new clients only). Please see Today's Photo for more information. Panels and PedestalsMatt McCalmont of Art Substrates is an artist and a craftsman who's been making custom panels and pedestals for fellow artists since 2001. His panels are reasonably priced and beautifully crafted. To our delight, he is offering a 10% discount to all 2009 Portland Open Studios artists from now until the time of the event (through October 18, 2009). Please see Art Substrates for more information. |
Volunteer Jobs |
Portland Open Studios cannot happen without your volunteer help. Members of the community can also help, and their help will be much appreciated. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Kelly Neidig, . Tour Guide Sales |
Portland Open Studios activities are funded solely by the sale of Tour Guides and artists' Participation Fees. Sales are critical to keeping the artists fees as low as possible. The Tour Guides can be sold for $15 each, or wholesale at 10 for $100. The wholesale price is available to retailers, the general public, and participating artists. Here are the ways that Portland Open Studios sells Tour Guides:
|
Become a Supporter |
All artists buying 10 for $100 before May 15 will be listed in the printed Tour Guide as a Supporter. Artists buying 10 for 100 after May 15 will be listed on the website as a Supporter. Buying 5 Tour Guides does not quality for a listing as a Supporter. All orders must be prepaid and cannot be returned. |
Open Studios Signage |
Each artist will receive 3 to 4 pre-printed signs; blank signs will also be available. Here are some tips on putting up your signs during the Portland Open Studios weekend. |
Event Guest Book |
You might want to put out a guest book for people to sign in; this is a good way to establish a mailing list. If you don't have a guest book already, you can print out copies of this guest book sign-up sheet for your visitors. |
Valentines |
Many media outlets around the Portland metro area help promote Portland Open Studios. In return, Portland Open Studios artists show our appreciation by making them little works of art in the form of Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) and sending them as valentines. Here's more information about these valentines and ATCs. |
Artist Survey |
The 2009 artists' survey will be available after the Portland Open Studios weekends in October. Help us produce even better Portland Open Studios events by answering a few questions in the artist survey. After the October event, we'd appreciate you taking a moment to print and fill out the survey, and return it to: |
