Descriptions of our modern culture, its attending paranoia, decadence, and phraseology fascinate me. The lag between directly marking a plate, waiting while acid etches the mark into metal, pushing ink into incisions, and pulling it back out is a quiet, antiquated moment that allows me to digest the present.
