My work involves the transformation of loose, raw animal fibers into lively wearables. Starting with wool, silk and other animal fibers, I dye and blend for the desired effect. Preparation and layout of a single piece can take up to several days and due to the shrinkage that occurs when wool is felted, may cover every surface in the studio. The resulting piece is always unique and often unpredicted... that's what fascinates me with this medium and fuels my creative fire!
