I am self-taught home-studio glass lampworker.  Working with a specialized torch and Pyrex glass tubes and rods I create blown beads, Christmas ornaments, goblets, and perfumes and solid forms such as cabochons, buttons and marbles.  I use a technique that emulates the offhand glassblowing process - blowing and manipulating a “gather“ of glass at the end of a glass tube in a fashion similar to working a gather of glass at the end of a blowpipe to form my pieces.  I have been utilizing this technique since the early 1980s.  I make jewelry by combining my glass work with sead beads.
