From mostly botanical drawings of my backyard and neighborhood I create stencils, relief plates, and printing blocks that are used to apply layer upon layer of acrylic paint or oil based ink. The drawings and relief prints become collage elements, along with found papers, between the layers and on the surface of the finished piece. I also draw into the surface of the work with charcoal and graphite.
